TEAM NOTES
•      WSU defeated Washington 24-19 in front of 57,567 at Lumen Field in Seattle
•      The 2024 Apple Cup was the first Apple Cup played in September and earliest meeting in series history
•      WSU has started 3-0 under Jake Dickert for the third straight season
•      WSU held Washington under 20 points for only the second time since the 1999 season (other being 13 points in 2021)
•      WSU improved to 6-7 all-time when playing at Lumen Field
 
PLAYER NOTES
•      Tony Freeman made his first career start, recording two receptions for 46 yards, and added a 33-yard punt return
•      John Mateer rushed for 2 touchdowns, his third straight game with a rushing touchdown, and also threw for a score
•      Mateer has rushed for four touchdowns in the first three games, and thrown for another seven
•      Kyle Williams caught three passes for 24 yards, his 40th consecutive game with a catch, owns a catch in all 40 career games
