PULLMAN, Wash. (May 21, 2024) – Former Washington State women's basketball standouts Borislava Hristova and Pinelopi Pavlopoulou have each signed new professional contracts as they continue to play in the EuroLeague.
Palopoulou signed on with Sopron Basket in Hungary for the upcoming season which will be her seventh season at the pro level, while Hristova inked with Spar Girona in Spain for 2024-25, which will be her fifth professional season.
Hristova spent five seasons with the Cougars, and upon graduating after the 2019-20 season, was the all-time leading scorer in program history with 2,269 career points. She has spent the last two seasons with Sf. Gheorghe, and finished last year as the fourth-best scorer averaging 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game as she was named Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Second Team.
Pavlopoulou played with the Cougs from 2014 to 2018 with her 128 games played ranking her tied for fourth all-time in the program's record book. She played with Panathinaikos last year and averaged 9.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per game to be named the Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Domestic Player of the Year.
