LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 4, 2024) – Washington State Women's Basketball is all set for the 2024 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament, opening Wednesday, March 6 as the No. 9-seeded Cougars will take on No. 8-seed California.
The first-round matchup for the Cougs is set to tip-off at 2:30 p.m. at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and will air live on the Pac-12 Network.
The Cougars concluded the 2023-24 regular season at 7-11 in Pac-12 play, earning the No. 9 seed at the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament. It marks the fourth time in program history that WSU has earned the No. 9 seed at the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament, which began in 2002.
Washington State is in search of its fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Cougars head to Las Vegas with a strong resume, as they hold a NET ranking of 25 and have collected two road wins over ranked opponents this season. An extended stay in this week's Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament would bring the team closer to a historic fourth-straight March Madness trip for the Cougs.
The winner of Wednesday's first-round matchup between No. 9 Washington State and No. 8 California will take on No. 1 seed Stanford in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Pac-12 Women's Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 7, at 2:30 p.m. PT.
