COLLEGE STATION, Texas (November 22, 2024) – Washington State Women's Swimming closed out the Art Adamson Invite finishing in third place overall while the 400 free relay team broke the school record on the final day of the meet hosted by No. 22 Texas A&M Friday.
WSU finished in third place, 145 points ahead of fourth-place Utah and just behind TCU while Texas A&M posted the win. Incarnate Word finished fifth.

In the morning session, senior
Emma Wright recorded the second-fastest 100 free time in program history with a 48.83 while freshman
Darcy Revitt was right behind with a 49.02, good for the third-fastest time in school history. Later in the morning, freshman
Ashlyn Hernandez put her name into the WSU Top-10 with a 2:12.96 in the 200 breast, the sixth-fastest time in program history.
The evening session opened with a pair of Cougs producing impressive times in the 1,650 led by junior
Lauren Wille who posted an NCAA "B" time of 16:39.63 while finishing second in the event. Freshman
Tatum Janning was close behind with a 16:47.74, placing fourth overall while her time put her in the WSU Top-10 with the seventh-fastest time. Janning's 1000 free time of 10:11.84 during the same event was the ninth-fastest 1000 free time in program history.
In the 200 backstroke, sophomore Arie Wang and junior
Anna Rauchholz finished seventh and eighth, respectively, before Wright and Revitt returned from their impressive 100 free swims in the morning session to place third and fourth, respectively in the even final.

Emily Lundgren won the 200 breast with a 2:08.16, giving her back-to-back 200 breast titles at the Art Adamson Invite after winning the same event last year. Close behind Lundgren was the freshman Hernandez who posted an NCAA "B" time with a 2:13.03 in the final while also placing third.

Mehlika Yalcin won the "B" final to place ninth.
The Cougars will next compete in January, hosting Utah Tech January 17.
