PULLMAN, Wash. – Six Cougar soccer student-athletes earned all-conference recognition from the West Coast Conference, the organization announced Nov. 13. Senior co-captains Grayson Lynch and Reese Tappan were both named to the All-WCC First Team, while goalkeeper Nadia Cooper earned All-WCC Second Team honors. True freshman Kendall Campbell was named to the WCC All-Freshman Team, while sophomores Reagan Kotschau and Megan Santa Cruz earned All-WCC Honorable Mention.
The recognitions marked the most WSU all-conference honorees in program history, surpassing the 2021 class which had five All-Pac-12 members. Lynch and Tappan's nod to the All-WCC First Team marks the most Cougs with first team recognition since 2021 when Elyse Bennett, Nadia Cooper, and Mykiaa Minniss were named to the All-Pac-12 First Team.
Lynch led the Cougars as the top point-scorer in her final season, netting four goals with five assists, including all four goals in Conference play. The Castle Rock, Colorado native capped her career with a goal and three assists in her final match, finishing her career with 21 career goals, 97 career matches, and 12 career assists.
Tappan played every game since she stepped foot on campus in 2021, helping the Cougar backline hold opponents to less than a goal per game. As a senior captain, she scored her first two career goals and delivered three assists as the most played Coug on the roster in 2024.
Cooper, who earned Second Team honors, played every match this fall in goal, averaging 1.08 goals against. The Houston goalkeeper made a career-high 60 saves in her senior season, tallying a career total 207 saves as WSU's netminder. In her time, Cooper accumulated 34 wins and 21 shutouts in 73 games.
Campbell continued a streak of Cougar freshman on the conference all-freshman team, a four-year streak, that continued with Campbell's four goals and one assist during her inaugural season. The California freshman played every match, making six starts as a true freshman.
Kotschau and Santa Cruz earned honorable mention nods, their second-career all-conference recognitions after being named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team last season. Santa Cruz delivered three goals and five assists for the Cougs, while Kotschau delivered a team-high six assists with one goal.
