Cougs Win Exhibition Over L-C State, 99-54

PULLMAN, Wash. (October 20, 2024) – Washington State women's basketball moved past Lewis-Clark State College 99-54 in an exhibition Sunday afternoon.

The Cougars shot at a 62.5 percent clip from the floor and tallied 44 rebounds, nine blocks and eight steals.

Three first quarter treys from Jenna Villa and four points from Alice Dart helped the Cougars hold a 22-11 lead at the first quarter break. Layups from Alex Covill and a 3-pointer by Dart began to extend the WSU lead, and then a Charlotte Abraham layup and three straight layups from Candace Kpetikou made it 44-24. Eleonora Villa checked in with her first points of the game with a layup in the final minutes of the first half as the Cougs held a 49-26 lead at halftime.

Out of the break, WSU rattled off a 12-2 run, and a three from Abraham along with four points each from E. Villa and Astera Tuhina in the third quarter made it 74-38 after holding LCSC to 3-of-18 from the floor in the period. E. Villa scored 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Cougs went on to win 99-54.

UP NEXT
The Cougars are set to open the 2024-25 season on Monday, November 4 against Eastern Washington in Beasley Coliseum at 4 p.m. PT.
