PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State men's and women's track and field teams continue the 2023-24 indoor season this weekend as they travel across the Idaho border to compete in the Lauren McCluskey Memorial Open & Multi from the Kibbie Dome.
The McCluskey Memorial is scheduled to begin Friday morning with multi competitions kicking off events at 9:30 a.m. Multi events will also lead off day two on Saturday, beginning with the heptathlon 60-meter hurdles at 9 a.m.

Grant Buckmiller set a program record in the men's 300-meter dash, winning the event in 32.88 (sixth-fastest in the nation this season), while fellow freshman,
Eva Lowder, vaulted to the seventh-best mark in Division I at 4.22m/13' 10.00" to win the women's pole vault, and Washington State men's and women's track and field teams combined for four total wins last Friday from the Spokane Sports Showcase.
Micaela De Mello ran the 10th-fastest time in the NCAA at 8.26 to finish second in the women's 60-meter hurdles from The Podium, and the women's 4X400-meter relay team finished runner-up with the seventh-best time in the nation.
Eli Lawrence captured his third-career triple jump win with a final mark of 14.96m/ 49' 1.00", and the Cougars' men's 4X400-meter relay team capped off the day for WSU with a time of 3:11.22, the eighth-best time in school history, to win the final even of the meet. Freshman
Gavin Dimick continued a strong weekend for Cougar newcomers in Saturday's Spokane Invitational, setting a PR in the men's pole vault with a 4.75m/ 15' 7.00" final mark to place sixth overall.

Washington State will return to the Dempsey Indoor Center in Seattle next weekend as it competes in the two-day UW Invitational on Fri.-Sat., Jan. 26-27. The Cougars will also have a group of athletes competing in the Inland Northwest Invitational from The Podium on Saturday, Jan. 27.
