Cougars earn USTFCCCA Team All-Academic awards

NEW ORLEANS — Washington State men's and women's track and field teams were each recognized by the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as All-Academic teams as announced last week. The Cougars' women's team qualified for the award after combining for a cumulative 3.345 team GPA during the Fall 2023 semester.  The men's squad reached the team academic distinction after posting a combined 3.332 team GPA.

The Cougars' women's team qualified for the award after combining for a cumulative 3.345 team GPA during the Fall 2023 semester.  The men's squad reached the team academic distinction after posting a combined 3.332 team GPA.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.

Washington State men's and women's indoor track and field teams carry a combined 10 times/marks that rank in the top-30 in the nation heading into the final stretch of the 2023-24 indoor season.  The Cougars will compete this Friday and Saturday at both the Whitworth Invitational at The Podium in Spokane, Wash., as well as the Husky Classic at the Dempsey Indoor Center in Seattle.
