PULLMAN, Wash. — Washington State's men's and women's cross country return to competition this weekend in the Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational (Sept. 29) from Burke Golf Course in South Bend, Ind., as well as the Whitman College Open (Sept. 30) from the Veterans Memorial Golf Course in Walla Walla, Wash.

Washington State saw a record-setting day on its last competition date back on Sept. 15 at Colfax Golf Club as
Brian Barsaiya (23:41.3) set a meet record in the men's 8K, while
Neema Kimtai (20:33.8) set a meet record in the women's 6K.
Both the men's and women's programs took first-place in the overall points standings as the women swept the podium outright, with the men finishing 1-2-3-4-8 in the final team scoring.
Up Next:
Washington State will take another one-week break from competition as it continues to train towards longer postseason races. The Cougars will get a first look at the 2023 NCAA Championships location on Oct. 14, at the NCAA Pre-Nationals from Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Va. WSU will also send runners to the LC State Invitational on Oct. 14, in Lewiston, Idaho.
