No. 7 Cougars take on Oregon State Thursday night in Corvallis

Seventh-ranked Washington State has won 11 straight heading into Thursday's road trip to play the Beavers.

PULLMAN, Wash. — Seventh-ranked Washington State will make its Oregon road trip this weekend as it heads to Corvallis, Ore., first to take on Oregon State (5-7, 0-2 Pac-12) on Thursday night beginning at 7 p.m.  Thursday's road match will be streamed live on Pac-12.com/live, and will be broadcast live for listeners on Pullman Radio KQQQ/ Moscow-Pullman 1150 AM.

The No. 7 Cougars also came in at No. 6 in the first NCAA Women's Volleyball Committee Top-10 release of the season, and No. 6 in volleyballmag.com's first-ever Super 16 Media Poll.  Washington State is 3-1 on the road to start the season after a five-set comeback win last week at Arizona, and ranks third in the entire nation with a .316 attack percentage as a team this fall.

>> Washington State's 2023 team features seven fifth-year players, four true seniors, and one redshirt senior.
>> The group of Karly Basham, Julia Norville, Magda Jehlářová, Weronika Wojdyla, and Pia Timmer, announced their return for a fifth season in November of 2022.
>> The Cougars then dipped into the transfer portal, adding DI veterans Iman Isanovic, Peyton Claus, Magdalena Juric, and Lana Radakovic, respectively, to their 2023 roster.

SIX ROTATIONS: EIGHT NATIONS
>> The makeup of the 2023 WSU roster is split down the middle with eight international players and eight United States natives. Current and past Cougs have consistently seen the court at the highest levels of international volleyball.
>> Magda Jehlářová (Czech Republic), Iman Isanovic (Bosnia & Herzegovina), and Argentina Ung (Mexico) have each played major impact roles on their respective senior national teams in recent years.

POSTSEASON SUCCESS

Washington State will conclude its Oregon road trip on Sunday as it heads to Eugene to take on the sixth-ranked Oregon Ducks beginning at noon on Pac-12 Insider from Matthew Knight Arena.  The Cougars will return home next weekend as they get set to host a pair of network matches starting with California on Fri., Oct. 6, at 7 p.m., on Pac-12 Washington, before hosting Stanford on Sun., Oct. 8, beginning at noon on Pac-12 Network.
