ELKHART, Ind. – Washington State Women's Swimming took the second day of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship by storm. The Cougars earned silver in the 800 free relays and notched a top-10 time.
The quartet of
Hailey Grotte,
Lauren Wille,
Noelle Harvey, and
Angela Di Palo secured another podium finish for the Cougars and touched the wall second at 7:12.57 in the 800 free.
Individually,
Noelle Harvey moved up to fourth at 1:47.62 in WSU's top-10-time list in the 200 free.
Earlier, four Cougs claimed finalists' spots for Friday evening. Italian native
Angela Di Palo claimed the fourth spot in the 200 free at 1:47.69 and was joined by
Noelle Harvey who made her way into the "B" final with an impressive time of 1:48.9.
Freshman
Anna Rauchholz was the Cougs top swimmer in the 100 back placing seventh with a time of 54.63.
Selena Duran swam parallel with Rauccholz at 54.68 securing a spot in the "A" final.
The Cougs will return Saturday for the final day of the CSCAA National Invitational Championship to swim in the 100 IM, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 1650 free, and 400 free relays.
