BURNABY, B.C. – The Washington State women's rowing team takes to the water for its first regatta of the fall, traveling to Burnaby Lake in British Columbia for action this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 7-8. The Cougars will race against the University of British Columbia and University of Victoria, Saturday, followed by the 12th annual Burnaby Small Boat Regatta, Sunday, Oct. 8.
It will be the second-straight year the Cougars compete at the Burnaby Small Boat Invitational. The regatta will feature pairs and single sculls competing in a 4-kilometer time-trailed race.
Washington State will be racing eight pairs, as well as a single scull. Races for the singles begin at 9 a.m. PT, while the pairs races take place at 10:15 a.m. PT.
