PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's basketball team is set to head across the Atlantic Ocean and spent two weeks abroad for a European tour through Croatia and Greece. The Cougars will depart on August 5 and return to the United States on August 15.

The Cougars will spend multiple days in Spilt, Croatia and Dubrovnik, Croatia before ending the trip in Athens, Greece. The NCAA permits institutions to participate in a foreign tour once every four years. The last Cougar women's basketball foreign tour came before the start of the 2013-14 season.

The trip will include various sightseeing opportunities and city tours, which include landmark visits to Krka National Park, Elaphiti Islands, Acropolis, Plaka, and a one-island tour of Aegina. The team will also make a visit to a site where a part of Game of Thrones was filmed. Along with the sightseeing and city tours, Washington State will also play three games against local teams during its stay in Croatia and Greece. WSU will play games on August 8 in Split, August 10 in Dubrovnik and August 14 in Athens.

WSU's European tour is made possible by charitable contributions from generous members of the Coug community and Basketball Travels Inc.
