PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State women's basketball team had a Pac-12 Conference best four selections named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, as announced by the association Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Fifth-year senior Ula Motuga, seniors Grace Sarver and Johanna Teder, and junior Charlisse Leger-Walker were each selected to the CSC, formerly CoSIDA, Academic All-District team. It is Leger-Walker's second career CSC Academic All-District selection, earning the honor last season, while it is Motuga, Sarver, and Teder's first selection. All four are now eligible for selection to the CSC Academic All-America teams that will be announced in mid-March.

Leger-Walker, who was a Pac-12 All-Academic Honor Roll selection last season, leads the Cougs in scoring this season at 18.4 points per game, while her team-leading 4.4 assists per game are second in the Pac-12. Leger-Walker became the 21st player in program history to score 1,000 career points earlier this season, as she accomplished the feat in a school-record 57 games. The guard from Waikato, New Zealand native is one of two Power 5 players to rank both inside the top three of their conference in both points and assists per game. Leger-Walker has scored 1,355 career points and is just 10 points away from passing Chanelle Molina (1,364; 2016-20) for ninth. Earlier this season, she became the third WSU women's basketball player to score 40 points in a game, scoring exactly 40 points at Washington back on Dec. 11. She is one of two players in NCAA Division I to have both a 35-point game and a 40-point game this season.

Motuga, who is a two-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection, has started in a career-high 27 games this season for Washington State. The Logan, Australia native is on track to set the program's all-time games played record this week, as she needs only two more starts to break Sage Romberg's (2010-14) current record of 129 games. Motuga is shooting 46.8 percent from the floor this season, while she is averaging 7.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Last season, Motuga set WSU's single-season 3-point field goal percentage record by hitting 47.4 percent (27-of-57) of her shots from behind the arc.

Teder, a 2022 Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection, has started in all 27 games this season for the Cougars. She ranks second on the team in 3-point field goals with 50. During her career, Teder has made 145 3-point field goals, which ranks sixth all-time in program history. The Tartu, Estonia native ranks fourth on the team in scoring this season at 8.6 points per game. Washington State is 25-6 all-time when Teder scores 10 or more points in a game.

Sarver, a 2022 Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll selection, has appeared in all 27 games off the bench this season for Washington State. The Seattle native has been a staple for Washington State over the last three seasons, as she has appeared in 96-straight games going into the final week of the regular season. Sarver is playing a career-high 14.8 minutes per game this season, while she is just one of two WSU players (Bella Murekatete) to appear in every game for the Cougs over the last three seasons.

Washington State heads to Los Angeles this week to end the 2022-23 regular season. The Cougars open the trip Thursday, Feb. 23, as the Cougars take on No. 17/16-ranked UCLA. Tip-off from Pauley Pavilion is set for 6 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks Los Angeles.
