PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State men's and women's indoor track and field will make the quick eight-mile jaunt east to visit border rivals Idaho this weekend to compete in the two-day Idaho McCluskey Memorial Open.
Friday kicks off with the multi events beginning at 9:00 a.m. while field events are set to begin at 3:15 p.m. following a brief dedication ceremony to officially unveil the Vandals' Lauren McCluskey track. Saturday's running events are scheduled to start at 9 a.m. with field events set to begin at 9:45 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT (COUGAR CLASSIC)
Maribel Caicedo (8.05) burst on to the scene setting the current world best 60m hurdles time while becoming the fastest 60-meter hurdler in Cougar history. Micaela De Mello finished right behind Caicedo moving into second all-time with a time of 8.20. Cougars tallied five top ten marks in the country.
The young Washington State men's distance squad ventured to the west side of the state to compete in the UW Preview last Saturday where almost the entire Cougs' lineup made their collegiate indoor track debuts. Aiden Emerson paced the young bunch with an 8:23.53 to place 33rd in the men's 3000m run. Grayson Wilcott, another Cougar freshman, placed just behind Emerson with an 8:25.88 to finish 37th in the 3,000m.

THE FIELD:
This weekend's field at the Vandal Open will consist of athletes representing various NCAA Division I, Division I and NAIA schools. Schools represented include: Idaho, Central Washington, Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon, Gonzaga, Lewis-Clark State College, Linfield, Montana, Northern Colorado, Portland State, San Francisco, UC Riverside, Utah and Whitworth.
