Starting Five
>> The Cougs return to the friendly confines of Beasley Coliseum after being handed an 82-66 loss at Washington this past Sunday to open Pac-12 Conference play. Washington State heads into Saturday's contest against Jackson State sporting a 7-2 overall record.
>> Washington State will be seeking its 11th-straight non-conference win at home this Sunday. The current 10-game winning streak dates back to the 2019-20 season. WSU is 17-4 against non-conference foes inside Beasley Coliseum under Head Coach Kamie Ethridge.
>> WSU and Jackson State will be meeting for the first time. It will be the second time this season that Washington State will play a team from the SWAC, as the Cougars defeated Prairie View A&M 89-61 in Beasley as part of the Pac-12/SWAC Legacy Series back on Nov. 13.
>> Junior Charlisse Leger-Walker is coming off one of the most prolific scoring performances in school history, as the guard scored 40 points at Washington this past Sunday. Leger-Walker's 40-point performance is the second-most points scored in a game by a WSU player in program history, just one point shy of Jenni Ruff's program record of 41 points, set against California back on Feb. 24, 1996.
>> Leger-Walker's 40-point performance against Washington marks the first time since 2019 that a Pac-12 play has scored 40 or more points in a game. She is also one of five NCAA Division I players to score 40-plus points in a game this season.
