STARTING FIVE
-> Washington State enters its final contest of the 2019-20 season with an 11-18 record overall and 4-13 mark in Pac-12 play. The 11 wins are a two-win improvement from last season, which was the first year under head coach Kamie Ethridge, while the four Pac-12 victories this season matches WSU's 2018-19 conference win total.
-> Sunday's matchup will be the 14th time this season that the Cougars will face a top-25 opponent. Washington State is 0-14 against ranked opponents this season, while they have dropped 36-straight games against teams in either the Associate Press or USA Today/WBCA Coaches Polls.
-> The Cougars and the Beavers will do battle on the hardwood for the 88th time this Sunday. Oregon State currently leads the all-time series, 57-30. OSU has won 11-straight contests over WSU, with the last Washington State win in the series coming on Feb. 15, 2013 with a 51-49 victory over the Beavers in Corvallis.
-> The Cougs enter the final game of the regular season in 11th place in the Pac-12 standings. The Cougars are one game behind a two-way tie for ninth, which is currently being held by Colorado and Washington. If things stay the same after Sunday, Washington State would earn the 11-seed in the 2020 Pac-12 Tournament and open play in Las Vegas on March 5 at 8:30 p.m. PT against the No. 6-seed, which is currently being held by Oregon State.
-> Redshirt senior Borislava Hristova continues her climb up the Pac-12 women's basketball all-time scoring list. Bobi Buckets surpassed Arizona's Adia Barnes on Friday night for 12th on the all-time list with 2,238 career points. Hristova needs just 11 points to move past USC's Tina Thompson (1994-97) for 11th on the conference's all-time scoring list and 40 points away from moving into 10th all-time, which is currently being held by Washington's Jazmine Davis (2012-15).
LAST TIME OUT
The Cougars dropped an 88-57 decision at No. 3 Oregon this past Friday, Feb. 28, to open their final road trip of the 2019-20 regular season.
Redshirt junior Jovana Subasic tallied a team-best 17 points, while redshirt senior Borislava Hristova recorded 14 points to move into 12th on the Pac-12 women's basketball all-time scoring list.
HRISTOVA'S STREAK CONTINUES
Redshirt senior Borislava Hristova enters play on Sunday having scored at least 10 points in each of her last 23 games. That stretch is the second-longest double-digit scoring streak by a senior in WSU history. Jenni Ruff currently holds the longest double-digit scoring streak by a senior in Washington State history, as she scored 10-or-more points in 29 consecutive games during the 1995-96 season.
A STRONG SHOOTING SEASON
The Cougs have been finding the bottom of the net at a rapid pace this season and they enter the final game of the 2019-20 regular season with a 43.8% shooting percentage. That is currently the second-highest field goal percentage in a single season in WSU women's basketball season. The school record for the highest field goal percentage in a season is 44.5%, set by the 1991-92 squad.
RACKING UP THE BLOCKS
Washington State has collected 115 blocks this season, which is fourth-most in a single season in program history. Redshirt junior Jovana Subasic leads the team in swats with 30, while her 1.03 blocks per game average is 10th-best in the Pac-12 this season.
LOGGING THE MINUTES
Senior Chanelle Molina has displayed more stamina than the Energizer Bunny this season, as the point guard has played a Pac-12-high 1,035 minutes this season. That mark is the third-most minutes played by a player in a single season at WSU. Molina set the program record last season, logging 1,131 minutes.
500-POINT CLUB
Redshirt senior Borislava Hristova recently became the third player in program history to score 500-plus points in two-or-more seasons. Bobi Buckets has scored 539 points so far this season, which is the seventh-most points scored in a single season in WSU history.
Hristova joins Lia Galdeira and Tia Presley as the only players in Cougar women's basketball history to score 500-or-more points in two-or-more seasons. Last season, Hristova scored 597 points, which is the six-most points scored in a single season at Washington State.
