STARTING FIVE
-> The Cougars looks to even up their record on their road trip through the Grand Canyon State. Washington State fell to No. 22/24 Arizona State in Tempe on Friday in the first contest of their two-game excursion. The loss drops the Cougs to a 3-5 record on the road this season, while they are 2-3 in Pac-12 games this season away from Beasley Coliseum.

-> Washington State will get another crack at a top-25 opponent on Sunday against No. 12 Arizona. It will be the 11th game this season against a top-25 foe for WSU, which is the most games played against teams ranked inside either the Associated Press or USA Today/WBCA Coaches Polls this season. Currently, The Cougars are tied with No. 1 South Carolina and No. 3 Oregon for the most contests played against top-25 teams this season at 10 games. Neither the Gamecocks or Ducks are playing a top-25 team on Sunday. Four of the last five opponents for Washington State this season all rank inside the top-15 of both polls.

-> WSU is still seeking that elusive win over a top-25 opponent this season. The Cougs are currently 0-10 against ranked opponents in 2019-20, which includes contests against No. 1 South Carolina, No. 2 Baylor, No. 7 UCLA and No. 8 Stanford. The Cougs have dropped 32-straight games against ranked teams. The last WSU victory over a ranked foe came on Jan. 6, 2017, when the Cougars knocked off No. 9/7 UCLA, 82-73, in Beasley Coliseum. Then-freshman Chanelle Molina scored a career-best 33 points in the upset-victory.

-> Sunday will be the 66th all-time meeting between Washington State and Arizona. The Wildcats lead the all-time series 36-29, which includes a 74-67 victory over the Cougs in Pullman almost a month ago back on Jan. 17. Despite the loss, WSU has won two of the last three meetings against Arizona. The Cougars will be seeking their second-straight win at McKale Memorial Center, as they won, 78-60, in their last trip to Tucson back on Feb. 2, 2018.

-> Redshirt senior Borislava Hristova needs one more double-digit scoring performance to move into a tie with Camille Thompson for the third-longest double-digit scoring streak by a senior in WSU women's basketball history at 20-straight games. Hristova has scored at least 10 points in her last 19 games, and has posted double figures in the scoring column in all but one game this season, which came in the form of a nine-point effort against No. 1 South Carolina.

LAST TIME OUT
The Cougs went toe-to-toe with No. 22/24-ranked Arizona State on Friday, Feb. 14, but their last-second game-tying 3-point attempt fell short, as the Sun Devils were able to escape with a 62-59 victory. The loss drops Washington State to 11-14 on the year, while they now hold a 4-9 record in the Pac-12 standings.

Senior Borislava Hristova scored a game-high 24 points, while classmate Chanelle Molina tallied 13 points in the loss to the Sun Devils.

STRONGER IN THE 2ND HALF
Washington State has outscored its opponents in the second half in four of their last five games. The Cougs have averaged 38.0 points per game in the last two quarters during the stretch, which has been highlighted by a 28-point fourth quarter against Colorado on Feb. 7, followed by a 29-points fourth quarter against Utah on Feb. 9.

BOBI CONTINUES THE CLIMB
Redshirt senior Borislava Hristova recently moved into 14th on the Pac-12 women's basketball all-time scoring list. The Washington State all-time leading scorer has amassed 2,166 career points, and she is now 49 points away from moving into 13th place on the all-time Pac-12 scoring list, which is currently held by Stanford's Katie Starbird (1994-97) at 2,215 points.

MOLINA MOVES INTO THE TOP 10
Senior Chanelle Molina moved into 10th on the Washington State women's basketball all-time scoring list on Friday at Arizona State. The Kailua Kona, Hawaii native passed Jazmine Perkins (2008-12) on Friday to slide into 10th on the WSU all-time scoring list with 1,302 career points. She needs 32 points to surpass Camille Thompson (1990-94) for ninth.

KNOCKING DOWN THEIR SHOTS
Washington State's shooting prowess has been on full display throughout the 2019-20 season, as the Cougars rank inside the top-60 nationally in field goal percentage (40th; 43.9%), free throw percentage (40th: 75.1%) and 3-point field goal percentage (61st; 34.3%).

SCOUTING ARIZONA
The Wildcats come into Sunday's matchup in fourth place in the Pac-12 standings at 9-4 through 13 league games. Arizona has won two-straight contests to push its overall season record to 20-4. They are one of four teams in the Pac-12 that have collected 20-or-more wins this season.

Arizona features the conference's leading scoring in junior Aari McDonald. The guard is averaging 20.5 points per game through 24 contests this season to lead a Wildcat team that averages 69.3 points per game. McDonald has scored double-digits in every game of her Arizona career, which includes a 19-point effort against the Cougars back on Jan. 17 in a 74-67 win at Beasley Coliseum.

Defense has been key for the Wildcats in 2019-20, as they are holding teams to 53.8 point per game, which is the lowest opponent scoring average in the Pac-12. Arizona is holding teams 35.7% from the floor, while they are forcing 10.5 steals per game.
