STARTING FIVE
-> Washington State begins a four-game homestand on Friday, which is the longest stretch of consecutive games on Friel Court this season. After Friday's contest against Cal, the Cougars will take on No. 6 Stanford on Sunday, followed by a pair of games next week against Colorado on Feb. 7 and Utah on Feb. 9.

-> The Cougars open the week looking to snap a four-game losing streak. WSU currently holds a 9-11 record on the season and 2-6 mark in the Pac-12, with an RPI of 83. Meanwhile, Cal comes to Beasley on Friday in search of their first Pac-12 victory, as they stand at 0-8 in league play. Overall on the year, the Golden Bears hold an 8-11 overall record and an RPI of 127.

-> Friday's contest against the Golden Bears ends a stretch of four-consecutive games against ranked opponents for the Cougs. WSU is 9-3 this season against teams outside of the Associate Press and USA Today Coaches Polls.

-> The Cougars will be seeking their first season sweep over California since the 2010-11 season on Friday, after WSU knocked off the Golden Bears, 96-75, at Haas Pavilion earlier this month on Jan. 5. Washington State scored a program-best 31 points in the opening quarter against the Bears in that game, as they cruised to a 21-point victory.

-> Friday's meeting will be the 73rd all-time meeting between California and Washington State. The Golden Bears leads the all-time series at 48-24, while the Cougars hold an 17-16 edge in games played in Pullman.

LAST TIME OUT
The Washington State women's basketball team concluded its weekend in Los Angeles with a 66-50 defeat at No. 10 UCLA. Redshirt Borislava Hristova collected 14 points against the Bruins to move her into 20th on the Pac-12 all-time scoring list for women's basketball with 2,066 career points.

BOBI BUCKETS MOVING UP THE PAC-12 SCORING LIST
Redshirt senior Borislava Hristova enters Friday's contest with 2,066 career points, and needs just 12 points to surpass Stanford's Val Whiting (1989-93) for 19th on the Pac-12 all-time scoring list for women's basketball.  The forward is 34 points away from becoming the first men's or women's basketball player in Washington State history to collect 2,100 career points.

CHANELLE MOVING ON UP
Senior Chanelle Molina needs just two 3-point field goals to move into second place on WSU's all-time 3-point field goals made list. She is currently tied with her former high school teammate Lia Galderia (2012-15) for third all-time with 160 trifectas. Katie Appleton (2005-09) currently sits in second place with 161 career made 3-point field goals.

DISHING OUT THE ASSISTS
The Cougars have been one of the top assist teams all season in NCAA Division I, as their 292 total assists this season is the 68th-most in country, while WSU's 14.6 per game average ranks 86th-best nationally. Senior Chanelle Molina has dished out a team-best 92 assists this season, which puts her at No. 46 through 20 games on the NCAA total assists list for 2019-20. Molina's 2.04 assist-to-turnover ratio is the 56th-best in the country.

DYNAMIC DUO
Arguably, no team has gotten more production out of two players in the Pac-12 this season than seniors Borlislava Hristova and Chanelle Molina. The duo has scored the most points in the Pac-12 by a pair of teammates this season at 669 points, while also logging the most minutes played out of any duo in the conference at a combined 1,380:08 minutes on the court this season.

NOW THAT'S EFFICIENT
Washington State's shooting prowess has been on full display throughout the 2019-20 season, as the Cougars rank inside the top-65 nationally in field goal percentage (41st; 44.4%), free throw percentage (64th; 73.7%) and 3-point field goal percentage (35th; 35.9%).

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN BEARS
California enters Friday's game as the only winless team in the Pac-12 in league play. The Golden Bears are currently 0-8 in the conference, while they hold an 8-11 record overall in 2019-20. Cal will be looking to snap an eight-game losing streak that started back on Jan. 3, their first Pac-12 game of the season.

Jaelyn Brown's 14.3 points per game leads the charge for the Golden Bears, while it is the 14th-best scoring average in the Pac-12 Conference. As a team, Cal averages 65.5 points per game, which is the second-lowest per game average in the conference, and shoot 39.4% from the floor.

Defensively, teams are scoring a league-high 68.8 points against California. The Bears are holding teams to a 43.3% success-rate from the floor through 19 games this season.
