SEATTLE – The Washington State University Track and Field program saw a combination of distance and field events at the UW Invitational this weekend, competing inside the Dempsey Indoor.
Zorana Grujic recorded a top ten finish in tenth place overall in the mile event with a PR of 4:48.99. Faimalie Sale posted a 13th place overall finish in the weight throw with a mark of 55-feet 2 1/4 inches (16.82m) during day one competition also. Bryana Rogers posted an eighth place finish for Washington State in the triple jump with a mark of 35-feet 11 1/2 inches (10.96m) on the day as well.
Colton Johnsen continued to produce solid distance results as he finished fourth overall in the 5000-meter race with a time of 14:08.41. Johnsen went on to place fifth overall in the mile as well with an overall time of 4:04.98, and fellow Coug Reid Muller was right behind Colton in sixth at 4:05.93. Corey Allen competed in the 400-meter dash, placing 23rd overall with a time of 51.78 as well.
