PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State track and field's
Tierney Silliman and baseball's
Danny Sinatro have been named the Academic Services Student-Athletes of the Month for March 2019.
A redshirt junior on the women's track and field team, Silliman (Yakima, Wash.) is majoring in social sciences and minoring in human resource management. She carries a 3.62 grade point average, is an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Tierney is a two-time Pac-12 Track and Field All-Academic Honorable Mention selection. She has competed at the MPSF Indoor Championships and the Pac-12 Outdoor Championships and began the 2019 outdoor season with a strong start, placing third overall in the 100-meter dash at the Sam Adams Invitational. Â
A junior on the baseball team, Sinatro (Sammamish, Wash.) is majoring in marketing and carries a 3.2 grade point average. In his third year starting in centerfield for the Cougars, Sinatro is third on the team with 21 hits this season, and is tied for the Pac-12 lead with four triples. He was a 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention.Â
