THIS WEEK

The Washington State women's golf team heads to Peoria, Ariz. to compete in the Westbrook Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Feb. 24 - 25.

THE FIELD

The Cougars will be competing alongside Denver, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon State, Tennessee, UC Davis, and Wisconsin.

REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE

Competing for the Cougars will be junior Marie Lund-Hansen, senior Madison Odiorne, freshman Amy Chu, redshirt-sophomore Emily Baumgart, and junior Elodie Bridenne. Competing individually will be freshmen Darcy Habgood and Cameron March.

LAST TIME ON THE GREEN

Competing against Colorado State Feb. 10, the Cougars walked away with a 24-stroke win over the Rams. Senior Madison Odiorne led the way for the Cougars, shooting a four-over, 76 through 18 holes. Freshman Amy Chu picked up where she left off in the fall with a 78, while junior Marie Lund-Hansen and redshirt-sophomore Emily Baumgart each carded a 79. Junior Elodie Bridenne completed the match-up with an 80, while freshman Darcy Habgood ended her first collegiate round with an 83.

COUGARS INK THREE TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT

Three incoming student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to the Washington state women's golf team. The 2019 signing is comprised of Darcy Habgood (Nambucca Heads, Australia), Ji-Ye Ham (Thailand), and Janine Surge (Seattle, Wash.). Habgood joined the Cougars this January and made her collegiate debut in match-up play against Colorado State.

COACHING STAFF

The Cougars are led by 10th-year head coach Kelli Kamimura, who guided the women's golf team to 11 program records, a tournament title, and an individual NCAA berth in the 2017-18 season. WSU alumna Emma Betland is entering her fourth season as an assistant coach, competing for the Cougars from 2010-13.

The team will head to Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii Mar. 12 – 13 for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational.
