PORTLAND, ORE. – The Washington State University women's rowing team turned in a solid performance Sunday morning, placing second overall in the varsity eight race at the Portland Fall Classic.
The varsity eight (Nora Hefte, Allison Nelson, Laurita Nemeraviciute, Meg Montgomery, Kyra Parker, Madeleine Bingham, Ella Cowan de Wolf, Cierra Bird, Cox - Juliet Perry) finished second overall, recording a time of 19:07.218. Oregon State placed first at 18:53.182 overall, and Portland would finish behind the Cougars in third with a time of 19:20.688.
Washington State returns to action Saturday, Nov. 2, to compete at the Sliver Lake Head Race, traveling to Spokane, Wash. to wrap up the fall season.
