Morgan Weaver are both finalists for Seattle Sports Star of the Year Awards.

th Annual MTR Western Sports Star of the Year Awards are Feb. 7 in Seattle.
Minshew II joined the Cougars as a graduate transfer from East Carolina and led WSU to its first 11-win season in program history, capped by a win over Iowa State in the Alamo Bowl. Minshew II won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award (top senior or fourth-year junior QB) and was named the Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Year along with a spot on the All-Pac-12 First Team.
Minshew II led the country in passing yards per game (367.6), 300-yard games (11), 400-yard games (six), was second in passing yards (4,779) and total offense (376.8), and was fourth in touchdown passes (38). Minshew II set Pac-12 single-season records for passing yards and completions and set the WSU single-season record in total offense and tied the record for touchdown passes. The graduate senior from Brandon, Miss. also rushed for four touchdowns and led three fourth quarter game-winning drives (Utah, at Stanford, California).
Minshew II was also a finalist for the Walter Camp Player of the Year, the Lombardi Award, the Davey O'Brien Award (nation's top quarterback) and the Manning Award (nation's top quarterback after the bowl season).
Weaver earned All-Pac-12 Region first-team and All-Pac-12 first-team honors finishing her junior season with a career-best 13 goals, third most in the Pac-12 and 20th in the nation. She earned three Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week awards, the most of any conference player on the year. Her 12 goals during the regular season were the second-most among all Pac-12 players before she added a 13th goal in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament against Montana.
Weaver helped the Cougars to their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance and seventh in the last eight seasons, advancing to the second round. In addition to their late season success, the Cougars started the year with a record 10-straight victories as WSU became the final undefeated and untied team in the country on their way to a No. 7 national ranking, the highest ranking in 30 years of Cougar soccer. WSU finished the year with 13 wins, one off the program record of 14.
Making the most of her goals, Weaver netted four game-winners including picking up the winner against No. 8 UCLA to begin Pac-12 play while also scoring a winning hat-trick against Washington to close out the regular season. Finishing the year, Weaver scored in four-straight games, prior to WSU's second round NCAA exit against Georgetown, netting six goals Weaver ended her season with a career-high 30 points as the junior chipped in four assists to go with her 13 goals, scoring or assisting on 41% of the Cougars' goals on the year. In all, Weaver's season ranked among the best in program history as her 13 goals tied for fourth all-time while her 30 points were the sixth most in a single season for the Cougars.
