GAME INFORMATION - VS USC
The Cougs play their final game in Southern California Sunday at USC as the Cougars take on a Trojan team they have met up with in the Pac-12 tournament twice in the last three seasons. Last year, Trojans defeated WSU in Pullman in the teams' lone meeting, 73-72, as USC overcame a 10-point fourth quarter lead by the Cougars. They would meet again in the Pac-12 tournament with the Trojans again prevailing, 47-44, despite a late comeback by the Cougars. The Trojans enter Sunday's game a half game ahead of WSU in the standings after dismantling Washington Friday night thanks, turning a 3-point halftime lead into a 25-point win. The Trojans also have a win over UCLA for their two conference victories.
LAST TIME OUT
Despite a shooting clinic from Chanelle Molina and a double-double from Borislava Hristova, Washington State (7-14, 2-8) could not keep pace with UCLA (12-9, 5-4) Friday night in Westwood as the Bruins pulled away in the second half for an 83-56 win. From the outset, the Bruins were able to use their size and athleticism in the paint and the passing lanes to control the contest despite a quick start to the game offensively by the Cougs. UCLA came away with a 28-5 advantage in points off of turnovers while also adding 16 second-chance points on 26 offensive rebounds.
