THIS WEEK: The #68 ranked Washington State women's golf team heads to Fairfax, Calif., to compete at the Meadow Club Women's Collegiate, March 5-6 hosted by San Jose State. Teams are scheduled to play three rounds over the two days.

THE TOURNAMENT: San Jose State's Meadow Club Women's Collegiate will take place at the Meadow Club, a 6,157 yard, par-72 course. The first round begins Monday with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m., and the second round will immediately follow. The final round begins Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.

THE FIELD: 16 teams will compete including: Boston College, #46 Brigham Young , #53 California, Cal Poly, UC Davis, #19 Colorado, Gonzaga, Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Oregon State, San Francisco, San José State, #15 Washington, Washington State.

REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE: Competing for the Cougar women will be seniors Alivia Brown and Bree Wanderscheid, junior Madison Odiorne, sophomore Marie Lund-Hansen, and redshirt freshman Emily Baumgart.

LAST TIME AT THE TOURNAMENT: The Cougs have yet to participate in the Meadow Club Women's Collegiate (formerly known at the Bay Area Collegiate. The 2018 tournament marks the fourth year San Jose State has hosted the women's collegiate at the Meadow Club.

LAST TIME ON THE GREEN: Senior Alivia Brown and sophomore Marie Lund-Hansen both landed top twenty finishes in the Westbrook Invitational with Brown taking home a ninth place finish. As a team, the Cougs placed 10th among a stacked field of some of the top collegiate teams.

COACHING STAFF: The team is led by ninth-year head coach Kelli Kamimura, who led the women's golf team to a conference-championship team record for the lowest three-round and single-round totals at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships…WSU alumna Emma Betland is entering her third season as assistant coach…Betland golfed at WSU from 2010-2013.
