HIGHLANDS RANCH, COLO. – The Washington State women's golf team dropped to eighth place after round two of the Ron Moore Women's Invitational. The Cougars carded a 601(+25) through two rounds, just two strokes behind seventh place Wyoming.
Freshman Amy Chu and senior Marie Lund-Hansen currently sit tied for 14th with a 148(+4) through the first two rounds. Chu led the team Friday with a 70(-2), before carding a 78(+6) in round two. Lund-Hansen carded a 73(+1) in the second round to move her from 27th to 14th.
Senior Madison Odiorne carded a 78(+6) in the second round to bring her overall score to a 153(+9). The Bend, Ore. native sits tied for 45th.
Redshirt-sophomore Emily Baumgart and junior Elodie Bridenne both carded a 155(+11) through two rounds. Freshman Cameron March finished round two with a 164(+20), after carding an 84(+12).
Colorado State leads the tournament, having gone three-under par through two rounds with a 573.
Individually, the Cougars will try to chase down Samantha Hutchison from US Davis and Ellen Secor from Colorado State who both went two-under par, 140, through two rounds.
The Cougars will hit the course again Sunday for the final round of the tournament.
