BROWN BACK IN THE NCAA REGIONALS: Building on her legacy, senior Alivia Brown was selected to her third NCAA Division I Women's Regionals. She will compete as an individual at the San Francisco Regional, May 7-9 at the TPC Harding Park in San Francisco ... Brown had already cemented her name among the all-time greats in program history last season as a junior after becoming the first Cougar to ever earn multiple bids to the postseason after going to the regionals as both a freshman and junior ... Stanford serves as the host of the regional for the 54-hole tournament.
THE COURSE: The NCAA San Francisco Regional will take place at TPC Harding Park, a PGA Tour stop since 2005…the course will play with a par of 72 and at a 6,369 yards…competitors will play 18 holes each day with tee times beginning at 8 a.m.…Brown open up the tournament teeing off of hole 1 at 9:40 a.m. along side of Samantha Hutchison (UC Davis) and Ingrid Gutierrez (New Mexico).
THE FIELD: Eighteen teams will compete at the regional, including Stanford, the host and the region's No. 2 seed, as well as top-seeded UCLA, South Carolina, Kent State, Oklahoma State, North Carolina, Colorado, Louisville, North Carolina State, Mississippi, Cal, San Diego State, Pepperdine, Oregon, Long Beach State, Grand Canyon, Princeton and Fairleigh Dickinson...individually six players hi the course with Brown, Hutchison, and Gutierrez joined by Abegail Arevalo (San Jose State), Darian Zachek (New Mexico), and Christine Danielsson (UC Davis).
ABOUT ALIVIA BROWN: A native of Gig Harbor, Wash., Brown became the first WSU player to earn All-Pac-12 honors since 2007 as the senior earned honorable mention honors for her play...she spent the majority of the Cougars spring season ranked in the top-100, closing out the Pac-12 Championships and the regular season ranked No. 43 in the country...her career-low of 72.68 scoring average ranks as No. 1 in program history...she won her first collegiate tournament this season with a victory at WSU's own Cougar Cup back in September.

LAST TIME AT REGIONALS: As a freshman, Brown became the first Cougar to appear in an NCAA Regional since 2007 when Washington State competed as a team in the West Regional...she advanced to the NCAA Championships after she fired a three-round 219 (+6) on the Entrada Golf Course at Snow Canyon Country Club to finish in sixth place…Brown's first and third-round 71s tied for the best single-round score by a Cougar in postseason history...as a junior, Brown went to Lubbock, Texas to play in the regional tournament where she finished in a tie for 25th overall. She missed advancing to the NCAA Championships by five strokes after posting a three-round total of four-over, 220.
THE 2018 NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS: From each NCAA Regional site, the low six teams and the low three individuals not on those teams will advance to the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships finals in Stillwater, Oklahoma...NCAA Championships take place at Karsten Creek Golf Club from May 18-23.
