SAN FRANCISCO - Washington State women's golf senior and captain Alivia Brown was named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention Wednesday as released by the conference office. Brown, earned her first career all-conference award and became the first Cougar since Amy Eneroth in 2007 to earn all-conference honors for the Cougs.
The Gig-Harbor spent the majority of the Cougars spring season ranked in the top-100, closing out the Pac-12 Championships and the regular season ranked No. 43. She kicked off the 2017-18 season with a first place finish in the WSU Cougar Cup on September 18-19, leading the team with a 210(-6). The victory marked Brown's first collegiate win, as well as one of the best all-time finishes in Cougar Cup history, as it tied for the second lowest tournament score.
Brown went on to post three more top-10 finishes, including tying for sixth at the Meadow Club Women's Collegiate with a 143(-1). She led the Cougars in scoring average, closing out the year with a career-low of 72.68.
The senior finished her last collegiate regular season tournament, the Pac-12 Championships, with a 227(+11) to tie for 31st. She will now wait to see if she earned an at-large individual bid to what would be her third NCAA Championships.
