PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State men's basketball (12-18, 4-14) has clinched the No. 11 seed in the 2018 Pac-12 Tournament and will face sixth-seeded Oregon (20-11, 10-8), Wednesday, March 7 at 8:30 p.m. at T-Mobile Arena at Las Vegas, which can be seen on the Pac-12 Network.
The Cougars and Ducks split the season series, each winning at home, as they most recently met March 1, 2018 at Beasley Coliseum, a 78-76 WSU victory. WSU boasts a 3-0 record in neutral games this season, having won the Wooden Legacy at Fullerton, Calif., in November. Oregon is 1-2 in neutral games this year.
Washington State and Oregon have met five times in the Pac-10/12 Tournaments, with WSU holding a 3-2 advantage, its only winning record over a conference foe in the tournament. The Cougars' last win in the tournament came against Oregon with Ernie Kent on the floor, a 62-40 win with WSU as the No. 7 seed in 2009. The two teams last met in 2010, as Oregon came away with the 82-80 overtime win in what was then the Pac-10 Tournament at Los Angeles.
The winner of the WSU-Oregon game will take on third-seeded Utah, Thursday, March 8 at 8:30 p.m. That game can be seen on Fox Sports 1. Utah is the only team WSU has never faced in the tournament.
