Cougars Sweep BYU for Sixth-Straight Victory

Washington State University improved to 13-1 in the season following a 4-0 victory over Brigham Young Saturday morning in Provo, Utah.

PROVO, Utah – Washington State University improved to 13-1 on the season following a 4-0 victory over Brigham Young Saturday morning at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts. The Cougars captured the opening doubles point, the 13th time they have done so this season, with victories at No. 2 and 3. Tiffany Mylonas captured the first singles victory at No. 3, 6-4 6-2, followed by No. 2 Guzal Yusupova at No. 2 posting another straight set victory, 6-4 6-1. Michaela Bayerlova clinched the teams 4-0 victory with her 6-4 6-4 win. Once the team victory was secured, the remaining matches were stopped. WSU will face Boise State Monday, March 5 in Boise.

"I love how our players competed today and the energy they brought to every point they played. BYU is a difficult place to play and they are very well coached. I think we did an excellent job creating opportunities and executing. We now have a very short rest before competing against a very good Boise State team on Monday. Go Cougs!"
