SEATTLE - Continuing to garner recognition for her play on the court during the 2017-18 season, redshirt-sophomore Borislava Hristova was named to the media's All-Pac-12 team as announced by the conference office on Wednesday morning. The postseason awards were voted on by a panel of Pac-12 women's basketball media members who cover the league throughout the year. The selection was her first full team selection by the media after earning honorable mention status as well as all-freshman honors after the 2015-16 season.
The media's selection comes on the heels of Hristova earning All-Pac-12 honors as voted on by the coaches one day prior. Hristova earned her spot among the conferences' elite after finishing third in scoring in the Pac-12 at 18.1 points per game. She proved to be one of the top threats in the Pac-12 throughout the season, culminating in a career-best 36-point outburst against Colorado earlier in the season. In all, and despite playing with an ankle injury for much of the season, Hristova finished among the top-100 in scoring in Division I as she finished the regular season ranked 76th overall in the nation.
Hristova leads the Cougs against USC Thursday, March 1 to begin play at the 2018 Pac-12 Tournament in Seattle. The first round contest is scheduled for 6 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
