PULLMAN, Wash. –  A pair of goals in each halves proved to be too much for the Washington State (5-3-2, 0-2-0 Pac-12) to overcome against Colorado (7-2-2, 1-1-0 Pac-12) as the Buffaloes escaped Lower Soccer Field with a 2-0 victory Thursday night. Despite dominance early on, the Cougs could not crack the Buffs' defense as WSU fired off a string of shots only to see them sent away. On the other end, Colorado capitalized on its first chance of the game, netting what would be the game-winning goal in the 30' when Marty Puketapu slotted home a rebound. While trying to play from behind, the Cougs would see the lead pushed to two goals in the 52' when a miss played trap trickled into their own net sending WSU scrambling for the remainder of the night.
