Charity Bradley to Join Washington State Volleyball

PULLMAN, Wash. -- Charity Bradley, a 6-4 outside hitter from St. George, Utah, will join the Washington State University Cougars volleyball program next season, Cougar Head Coach Jen Greeny announced Wednesday.

Bradley is a senior at Emery High School in Castle Dale, Utah, but played her senior year of volleyball at Desert Hills High School for coach Jill Swaney. The Thunder volleyball team finished the 2016 season as the 3A Region 9 Champions with a 22-8 record. Bradley broke the school record with the most digs in a season (311), was named All-Region 9 Co-MVP, and selected to the Senior All-State team.

Her first three seasons of prep volleyball were played at Waterford High School where Bradley twice earned All-State Honorable Mention honors. The Waterford volleyball team was the 2A Region 14 Champions Bradley's freshman and junior years with records of 10-3 in 2013 and 11-4 in 2015.

Bradley also played on the Club V Volleyball Club team, ranked best in the state of Utah, for coaches Chris Gorney, Reed Carlson and Matt Carlson.

Bradley's father, Shawn Bradley, played basketball at BYU, was the No. 2 pick in the 1993 NBA draft, and played professionally for 12 years on the Philadelphia, New Jersey and Dallas teams.

Bradley joins the previously announced Cougar volleyball class of 2017 that includes Cameron Antoine-Dillon, a 6-0 middle blocker from Calabasas, Calif., Savanah Smith, a 5-11 outside hitter from Roseville, Calif., and Penina (Penny) Tusa, a 5-8 outside hitter from Anaheim, Calif.
