SERIES HISTORY
The Cougs head back home for a second go around with #23/18 Arizona State and Arizona. Up first for WSU is a rematch with Arizona State on Friday night. The game will mark the Cougs' Play For Kay game with WSU wearing pink to support breast cancer awareness. Last time against the Sun Devils, ASU took home a 68-49 win in Tempe in a nightmare game for the Cougs who lost freshman sensation Chanelle Molina to an ACL tear in the contest. All-time the Sun Devils lead 43-18 and have won the last five matchups. The last win for the Cougs came at home in Beasley on Jan. 3, 2014 when WSU took an 85-78 decision.

LAST TIME OUT
Behind stifling defense down the stretch the Washington State women's basketball team survived a fourth quarter comeback attempt by the Utah Utes as the Cougs took home the road win, 61-55, Sunday afternoon. After suffering a tough loss on the road on Friday night, the Cougs would not let the history repeat itself Sunday afternoon as Washington State held off a late charge by the Utes to come up with their second road Pac-12 victory. The Cougs used a a swarming defense in the final minutes and a handful of clutch free throws to thwart the comeback attempt, snapping a two-game skid to Utah. Overall, the Cougs were led by Pavlopoulou as the junior point guard finished with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting to end one-point shy of tying her career high in scoring. She would match a career mark with five assists in the game while also grabbing five rebounds. The double-digit effort for the Athens native was her fourth-straight 10+ point effort and the fifth time she scored in double-figures in her sixth start since taking over as the Cougs' floor general. Right behind Pavlopoulou was Swedlund with 13 points as the two back-courtmates were the lone Cougs to reach double-figures in the game.

ABOUT THE SUN DEVILS
The Sun Devils come into the weekend off of a close 68-63 win over Oregon last Sunday in Tempe. The win snapped a four-game skid for Arizona State who fell from near the top of the Pac-12 standings into the fifth place in just three weeks as the Sun Devils sit just one game ahead of the Cougars and two other teams as the conference heads into the final stretch run. Overall, Sophie Brunner leads the was with 31.2 ppg and 8.0 rpg. Last time against WSU, Brunner went for 20 points and grabbed a career-best 15 rebounds. As a team, ASU is the lowest scoring team in the Pac-12 at just 63.6 ppg but they hold opponents to just 55.8 ppg, third-best in the conference.
