FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Washington State University swim team concluded the Pac-12 Swimming & Diving Championships, Saturday, at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center. The Cougars broke four school records in total over the four-day event. Washington State finished the championships in eighth place with 334 points, ahead of Oregon State (237).
"The Cougs swam tough on the last day," WSU Head Coach
Tom Jager said. "Great leadership from our seniors. As always everybody on this team lifted and it was a great team meet. I am proud of the way they represented WSU. Go Cougs!"
Sophomore
Jasmine Margetts notched the highest individual finish of the day with a 10
th-place finish in the 200 fly. The Torrance, Calif., native touched the wall at 1:57.46, a personal record and the second-fastest time in WSU history, tallying 17 points for the Cougars.
Senior
Elise Locke also swam in the 200 fly, clocking an 18
th-place finish with a 1:59.21, to earn the team seven points. Senior
Kendra Griffin claimed three points for the Cougars with a time of 2:00.82 to finish in 22nd.
In the 100 free, senior
Addisynn Bursch finished 18th with a time of 49.97, the fourth fastest time in program history, to give WSU seven points. Junior
Hannah Bruggman finished flour places behind Bursch at 50:68, adding two points to the team's total.
In the 200 breast, freshman Angela Mavrantza made her mark once again in WSU history books. She finished 18
th with a time of 2:14.09, good for the fourth-fastest time in school history and seven points for Washington State. Â
Griffin took 17th in the 1650 free at 16:43.78, garnering nine points for the Cougars. Freshman
Ryan Falk finished 24th, touching the wall in 16:54.63, to earn one point and the sixth-best time in school history.
Senior
Jessica Marston finished 23rd in the 200 back, touching the wall at 2:00.14, grabbing two points for WSU. This time placed her eight the WSU Top-Ten List.
Washington State concluded the championships with an eighth-place finish in the 400 free relay. The team of Bursch, senior

Hailey Johnson and Bruggman set a season-best time of 3:21.38 and added 44 points to WSU's total.
With the conclusion of the Pac-12 Championships, Washington State finished its 2016-17 season. The Cougars garnered a 4-3 dual-meet record, winning four-straight duals to close the season and earned three conference victories for the third-straight year.
