PULLMAN, Wash. - With two stellar seasons under her belt at Washington State, sophomore sensation Morgan Weaver has garnered the recognition of the national team, earning her an invite to the final training camp of the year for the U-23 National Team. One of 22 collegiate players to be invited to the camp, Weaver was one of three Pac-12 players to be invited to Orlando to train with the team. U.S. head coach B.J. Snow also called in four NWSL players to the camp.

"I think it is a huge honor to be able to play with the US on my chest and train with the best girls and the best coaches around" said Morgan Weaver.

The final training camp for the U23 team has taken place from Nov. 28 -  Dec. 4 on the campus of UCF which also was the site of the Cougs upset of No. 8 UCF in the first round of this year's NCAA Championships. Weaver will have a chance to show off her abilities against some of the best U23 talent in the nation as the team will play an intersquad game on Dec. 1 before facing off against Orlando City Boys DA on Dec. 3.

Weaver's call in to the camp adds her name to the list to some of the greatest Cougs to ever don the WSU jersey and who were called into national team camps. Some of the most recent camp invitees and all-time greats include Kiersten Dallstream (U20 Full Team Member 2006-08, U23 Camp 2009), Carly Dobratz (U21 Camp 2006), Micaela Castain (U20 Camp 2011, Puerto Rico Full Team), and Nicole Sutterland (Canadian Full Team 2011, U20 and U17 World Cup participant).

Weaver finished the season with a team-best 17 points and seven goals. For her career, she has scored 15 goals including seven game-winners while tallying 33 points. Her 15 goals sits just outside of the Cougs' all-time top-10 after just two seasons.
