PULLMAN, Wash. -- Washington State University's
Chandler Teigen and
Vallery Korir earned All-Pac-12 Second Team honors after their performances at the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships Oct. 27, in Springfield, Ore., announced Tue., Oct., 31, by the Pac-12 Conference.
Teigen, a junior from Anatone, Wash., finished ninth at the Pac-12 Championships, the highest WSU finisher on the 8,000 meter course, in a time of 24 minutes 2.3 seconds. The WSU men's team finished sixth.
Korir, a junior from Iten, Kenya, finished 13th at the Pac-12 Championships on the 6,000 meter course in a time of 19:19.6. The WSU women's team finished 10th.
The top seven finishers at the Pac-12 Championships are named to the first team. The eighth through 14th finishers at the conference championships are on the second team. For the complete list of Pac-12 honors see the attached release.
The next competition for the Cougars men's and women's teams is the NCAA West Regional Cross Country Championships, Nov. 10, at the Jefferson Park Golf Course in Seattle, Wash.
