PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State University men's cross country team moved down in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Rankings, published Oct. 3, and the West Region Rankings, published Oct. 2, after a disappointing 11th place finish at last week's Joe Piane Norte Dame Invitational Meet. The WSU women's cross country team moved up into No. 15 in the USTFCCCA West Region rankings.
WSU men's is ranked No. 29 in the USTFCCCA National Week 4 Poll, dropping from No. 11 in the previous week's rankings. Other nationally ranked Pac-12 teams are No. 4 Stanford, No. 7 Colorado, No. 8 Oregon, and No. 20 UCLA. In the West Region Men's Week 4 rankings, the men dropped from No. 3 in Week 3, published Sept. 25, to No. 8.
The WSU women's team is now ranked at No. 15 in the Week 4 West Region rankings after a 14th place finish last week at Notre Dame. The team was led by junior Vallery Korir, finishing 15th.
