PULLMAN, Wash. - No. 16 Washington State improved to 5-0 with a 30-27 win over No. 5 USC at Martin Stadium Friday. Check out the postgame notes and social media posts from the win.

GAME NOTES
•       USC won the toss and deferred, WSU elected to receive
•       Jamal Morrow was the game captain for the 27th consecutive game, 19-8 on coin tosses with Morrow
•       Attendance: 33,773, the highest attendance since the Martin Stadium reconfiguration in 2014
 
TEAM NOTES
•       WSU improved to 5-0 for the first time since starting the 2001 season 7-0
•       WSU beat a Top-5 ranked team for the first time since beating No. 5 Texas in the 2003 Holiday Bowl, first time beating a Top-5 team in the regular season since beating No. 5 Washington in 1992
•       WSU notched its first win over USC in Pullman for the first time 2002, 30-27, USC had won five straight in Pullman
•       Mike Leach notched career win No. 34, 5th-most in WSU history
•       WSU improved to 17-3 when forcing multiple turnovers under defensive coordinator Alex Grinch
•       WSU held USC to 327 yards of total offense, their lowest of the season
 
PLAYER NOTES
•       Luke Falk threw two TD passes, upped his career total to No. 105, tied with Marcus Mariota (ORE) for 2nd in Pac-12 history
•       Falk recorded 34 completions, upping career total to 1,211, most in Pac-12 history, broke Sean Mannion's (OSU) record of 1,187 in the second quarter
•       Falk added to his Pac-12 record for career plays, now owns 1,949 career plays
•       Falk threw for 340 yards, upping his WSU-record total to 12,611, 3rd-most in Pac-12 history
•       Falk recorded 331 yards of total offense, upping his career total to 12,308, passing Jared Goff (Cal) and Matt Barkley (USC) for 3rd-most in Pac-12 history
•       Falk recorded career win No. 23, trails only Jason Gesser's WSU-record of 24
•       Jamal Morrow scored his second rushing touchdown of the season, 7th of his career, and caught one touchdown, has 20 career total touchdowns, tied with River Cracraft for 9th-most in WSU history
•       Morrow recorded 138 all-purpose yards, upping his career total to 3,567, 5th-most in WSU history
•       Tavares Martin Jr. caught his 7th touchdown of the season, sixth in the last three games, 15th career TD catch
•       Derek Moore recorded his first start of the season, started twice last season, made 3 tackles, 1 TFL and recovered a fumble
•       Hunter Dale recorded his first career sack, finished with 3 tackles
•       Sean Harper Jr. recorded his first career interception, finished with three tackles
•       Hercules Mata'afa recorded two tackles-for-loss, upping his career total to 34.5, 7th-most in WSU history
•       Jahad Woods made a game-high nine tackles, one sack and one forced fumble
•       Erik Powell connected from a season-long 44-yards in the first quarter, added another 33-yard in the third quarter and 32 yards in the fourth quarter, he now owns 39 career makes, 5th-most in WSU history
