PULLMAN, Wash. - The Washington State soccer team officially kicked off the 2017 season with the opening of training camp Tuesday morning at Lower Soccer Field. The Cougs hit the field together for the first time as a unit with a two hour practice. The preseason training camp will last from Aug. 2-17 as WSU prepares for the season opener at home against Minnesota on Aug. 18 at 7 pm live on the PAC-12 Network.
The Cougs have a lot of new faces to integrate into the team as 13 freshmen and one junior transfer join 16 returning letter winners. The team will get its first live action against an outside opponent on Aug. 9 at 11 am at Lower Soccer Field when the Cougs host Colorado State in exhibition play. The game will be open to the public.
