SAN FRANCISCO - In a polling of the Conference Video Coordinators, Kevin Night Pipe from Washington State University has been voted the Pac-12 Video Coordinator of the Year. Now in its 19th season, the award is given annually to the Conference Video Coordinator who best demonstrates exemplary performance in the field of team video and surrounding technologies.
Night Pipe is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year, which will be voted on by a separate panel at the Collegiate Sports Video Association Conference in Atlanta, Ga. in May. The Bob Matey Award is presented to the Video Coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance, and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary Video Coordinator from Texas A&M.
Night Pipe is beginning his 17th season overseeing management of the Washington State football video department. His responsibilities include managing the coaching analysis information network, maintaining hardware and software, and overseeing video crews. Prior to WSU, Night Pipe worked two seasons at Northern Arizona.
Night Pipe, a Madison, S.D. native, is a graduate of Madison High School and the University of South Dakota. He currently resides in Pullman with his wife, Jackie, daughter Krystal, and their dog, Buster.
