PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State University tennis team will host its 12th annual tennis clinic Saturday, Jan. 21, in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The clinic is free to all participants.
The clinic will be held at the Simmelink Tennis Courts at Hollingbery Fieldhouse following the match against Montana State, which begins at 4 p.m. Fans are encouraged to arrive for the match, enjoy pizza courtesy of Cougar Tennis, and cheer on the team.
Following the match, the team and coaching staff will host the tennis clinic, as they encourage females of all ages and skill levels to participate in this fun event. Racquets and balls will be provided for participants that do not have their own equipment.
"This event is always circled on our calendar and we are excited to be hosting this for the 12th-straight year," Washington State Head Coach Lisa Hart said. "To be able to give back to the community and encourage women of all ages to participate in tennis is something our team truly enjoys."
