SERIES HISTORY
The Cougs hit the road once again as they head to the desert to take on the Pac-12's Arizona contingent. WSU plays first at #18 Arizona State which has won 10 of its last 11 games. They have been nearly perfect at home going 7-1 on the year at Wells Fargo Arena losing only to Stanford to begin Pac-12 play. The Sun Devils dominated Utah Friday in Salt Lake City, handing the Utes their first home loss of the season. They followed it up with an easy win at Colorado, Sunday. All-time the Sun Devils lead 42-18 and have won the last four matchups. The last win for the Cougs in Tempe came on Feb. 1, 2013 when WSU won 54-43.

LAST TIME OUT
Alexys Swedlund poured in a career-best 22 points while freshman Chanelle Molina and senior Ivana Kmetovska added 16 a piece as the Washington State women's basketball team cruised to an impressive 74-57 win over Southern California on Sunday afternoon at Beasley Coliseum. The win for WSU finished off a sweep of the Pac-12's Southern California schools after upsetting No. 7 UCLA, 82-73, Friday night. It was the first time the Cougars had swept the LA based schools since doing so at the beginning of Pac-12 play in the 1994-95 season. A game that looked like it was going to be a fight through the first 20 minutes of action quickly turned into a lopsided win for the Cougars as WSU blitzed the Trojans out of break with a 17-2 run that turned a one-point halftime deficit into a commanding 14-point lead. Overall, the Cougs shot 48.4% (31-of-64) from the field while holding the Trojans' offense to just 36.2% (21-of-58) shooting.

ABOUT THE SUN DEVILS
ASU is led by Sophie Brunner who is averaging 12.3 ppg while grabbing a team-best 7.1 rpg. This season represented the first time since 2002 that the Sun Devils opened the conference slate with the label of 'defending champions,' after tying with Oregon State last season for the league's top spot in the regular season standings (16-2). Prior to tying for the conference title last season the Sun Devils were in the runner-up spot in 2015 after finishing 15-3, one game behind Oregon State (16-2). ASU is ranked among the top third in the Pac-12 in rebounding defense (1st/28.9 rpg), offensive rebounds (1st/16.1 rpg), 3-point FG percentage defense (2nd/24.7), scoring defense (1st/53.8 ppg) and rebounding margin (2nd/+11.7).
