“We opened up with some great performances last night and continued all the way through today,” WSU Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Wayne Phipps said. “(I wanted the team) to continue to progress. We are at a point now where we are getting close to our championship part of our season. (I want to) make sure we are getting out of this meet healthy and recovered for the next two weeks. One of the big things was the multi event: it is an opportunity to showcase some of the best athletes not only on our team but in the nation.”
The Washington State track and field teams will travel to indoor meets in Albuquerque and Seattle next weekend.
