PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Washington State University tennis team will host its 11th annual tennis clinic Sunday Jan. 31, in honor of National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The clinic is free to all participants.
The clinic will be held at the Simmelink Tennis Courts at Hollingbery Fieldhouse following the match against North Texas at noon. Fans are encouraged to arrive for the match at noon, enjoy pizza courtesy of Cougar Tennis, and cheer on the team.
Following the match, the team and coaching staff will spend an afternoon with the community, as they encourage females of all ages and skill levels to participate in this fun event. Racquets and balls will be provided for participants that do not have their own equipment.
“We always look forward to hosting this event and we are excited to do so for the 11th consecutive year,” Washington State Head Coach Lisa Hart said. “The opportunity for the team to give back to the community, while serving as role models for girls of all ages, is something we take great pride in.”
