WSU Alumna Jazmine Perkins Signs Pro Contract

PULLMAN, Wash. – Former Washington State women's basketball guard Jazmine Perkins has signed a professional contract to play in Bulgaria this fall.
Perkins will play for Haskovo 2012 out of Haskovo, Bulgaria, competing in the National Basketball League (NBL). The team, which was runner up in the NBL the past two seasons, begins play this fall in late October and the season runs through April. Perkins signed with the Bulgarian side after playing in Israel (Ramat Sharon), Sweden (Eskilstuna Basket), and Poland (MksMos Konin).
In her time at WSU, Perkins became the all-time leader in games played with 122. The Berkeley, Calif., native also made 108 career starts, second most by a Cougar. She is the only player in WSU history, men's or women's, with 1,000 points, 700 rebounds and 250 steals. When Perkins left Pullman, she was the Pac-12's active career leader in steals with 259, good for second in WSU history. She finished her career with 1,288 career points, seventh all time, grabbed 728 rebounds, fourth all time, and 144 made three's, second most all-time.
