October 14, 2015 | Women's Basketball
SAN FRANCISCO - Washington State head coach June Daugherty and senior forward Mariah Cooks took part in the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Media Day Wednesday.
Daugherty and Cooks toured the Pac-12 Studios, taking part in commercial shoots and photoshoots, while also meeting the national media to talk about the Cougars' upcoming season. The duo made a live appearance on the Pac-12 Networks with Ashley Adamson and Mary Murphy as part of the Networks' Media Day Special.
While addressing the media, Daugherty discussed her expectations for the 2015-16 season.
“We're going to be the surprise team in the Pac-12,” Daugherty said. “As a staff, we feel we have 10 starters right now. That's a testament to the offseason work we have put in and the recruiting base [we have].”
