Midway through the half, the Cougars caught fire, erupting for a 9-0 streak that turned into a 17-4 run and a seven-point WSU lead at the 9:18 mark. Junior guard Taylor Edmondson got things going with a runner in the lane, freshman guard Pinelopi Pavlopoulou followed with a steal and layup, Galdeira sank a three and Dheensaw knocked down a jumper to cap the 9-0 streak. The Washington State run continued as freshman guard Caila Hailey drove the lane and got a floater to rattle in before Dheensaw added another bucket, Galdeira sank two free throws and Presley turned a steal into a layup.

The Cougars later used five straight points to build a 12-point lead, 39-27 before the Beavers added a three in the final minutes to make it a 39-30 WSU lead at the half. Galdeira and Presley each scored 10 points in the first half as the Cougars shot over 47 percent from the floor and scored 21 points off of 15 OSU turnovers.

Washington State opened the second half with a three from Awa and a no-look dish from Galdeira to Dheensaw for a layup and 44-30 advantage. The lead later grew to 16 after Presley and Galdeira traded buckets but the Beavers countered in a big way.

Oregon State quickly rattled off five straight points and used a 14-2 run to cut the Cougar lead to four. WSU struggled offensively during that stretch, missing nine straight shots at one point and the Beavers took advantage of the Cougar foul trouble along the way. The OSU run grew to 22-6 and Oregon State eventually evened things up at 58 at the 6:57 mark.

Back and forth the teams went in the final minutes as Presley came up with a big three from the left wing and Awa sank two free throws for a 67-65 WSU advantage with 2:55 remaining. But the Beavers answered with a three and a bucket to go up 70-67 with 2:10 left.

Washington State followed with two free throws from Presley and Oregon State hit a free throw to go back up two. Galdeira was then fouled after driving to basket and connected on one of two. The Cougars were forced to foul and the Beavers hit both free throws for 73-70 lead with 23 seconds left. Galdeira was able to get a look at a three from straight way but the shot rolled around the rim and out. WSU regained possession after OSU knocked the rebound out of bounds but Galdeira's three-point attempt from the right corner again rattled out. Washington State fouled and Oregon State missed both free throws, allowing one more opportunity to tie it. WSU made one last rush as another Galdeira three-point attempt missed off the back iron and a scramble for the rebound resulted in OSU ball who inbounded ball for the final second, sealing the 73-70 victory.

The Cougars will wrap up the road trip Sunday at Oregon. Tipoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the Pac-12 Networks.
