PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University student-athletes and teams will honor the late WSU president Elson S. Floyd with uniform patches and stickers this year, Director of Athletics Bill Moos announced, Wednesday.
"This is an opportunity for Cougar athletics to show appreciation for our dear late president and hopefully, in a respectful way, pay tribute to the many wonderful things he did for Washington State University and how endeared he has been and always will be by Cougars everywhere," said Moos.
Cougar football will feature a helmet sticker with "ESF", while other teams will feature similar uniform patches. President Floyd's life will be celebrated on Wednesday in a university-wide event at Beasley Coliseum at 3 p.m. Those not in attendance may watch the stream online at experience.wsu.edu.
